Every Monday join us from 9:00 - 10:00am at the Pine Street Alcohol and Drug Rehab Center.

Awakenings is an 8-week, 25-hour course that covers the basic history of yoga as a whole and Baptiste Yoga as its evolutionary complement. This course follows two separate paths: first, it is a required entry course into the Indigo Yoga Teacher Training School. By giving training school participants this option of study first, they are able to more fervently absorb the 200-hour training that succeeds it, determine without much time or financial investment if becoming a yoga teacher is for them, and give them amazing tools for their own personal yoga practice. The other path is for the practitioner who simply wants a deeper study of yoga and a more educated personal practice.

This course will include 2 weekly sessions. A lecture and practicum will be presented each Thursday night from 7:30-9:30, and organized each week according to the eight limbs of yoga. Our second session will be held on Saturday mornings from 6:45-8:15am. In this lesson we will generate what we learned on Thursday into a live, 90-minute practice. An additional requirement for certification is one documented, weekly practice at Indigo Yoga. The cost of this lesson is included in tuition.

The cost for this 8-week, 16-session course is $599. Upon 100% participation and completion of the program, each student will be awarded 25 continuing education credits. Certification students are allowed to miss only one session.

If a non-traditional student (a student not certifying to teach) wants to participate for single sessions, the cost per session is $40.

The program will run for 8 weeks, from OCTOBER 11TH – JANUARY 12 with a free information session on OCTOBER 2nd from 6 -7 pm. We will have Holiday weeks off!

100% participation is required if the course is taken as a prerequisite for the 200-hour certification program, otherwise, participation is at will.
