Injury Prevention with Gamze Strain

In this workshop, we will review potential causes and methods for prevention of yoga related injuries. A majority of yoga injuries typically happen in six common places: the hips, shoulders, knees, wrists, hamstrings, and back. We will identify poses and pose families as they relate to these anatomical areas and our intention will be to raise awareness of potential misalignments and how they contribute to injury. This workshop is suitable for all levels of practitioners. We will have an interactive session that combines discussion with practice and questions and answers.
