Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra, or "yogic sleep," is a deep relaxation technique and a form of meditation. Get some rest! The practitioner turns their awareness inward by listening to a set of instructions; much like a guided meditation. Performing yoga nidra involves lying in savasana while practicing pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), which is the fifth limb of yoga.

Yoga nidra offers many potential benefits, including:

  • Calming the mind
  • Relaxing and rejuvenating the body
  • Soothing the nervous system
  • Reducing fatigue
  • Lowering high cholesterol and blood pressure levels
  • Strengthening immunity
  • Improving quality of sleep
  • Treating depression
  • Reducing pain
  • Boosting concentration level
  • Supporting brain function and creativity

These one-hour sessions are on the last Saturday of each month at 4:30pm, suitable for all levels, and are included in all memberships and Day Passes.

Please bring a yoga mat, bolster or hard pillow, regular pillow and a blanket.
