The inspiration for the 108 grew out of our desire to offer students an ongoing opportunity to deepen their yoga practice over an extended amount of time. This inspiration includes many aspects of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, including tapas (discipline), svadyaya (self-study), asana (poses), pranayama (breath), and dhyana (meditation).
Additionally, the number 108 has many meanings within yoga. It’s believed to represent the wholeness of existence. Also, fun fact, there are 108 beads on a mala!
Here's the breakdown:
- In joining the 108, you are committing to 108 in-studio and/or virtual practices at Indigo within 6 months
- When you're ready to commit - simply pick up your 108 card from the front desk so you can keep track of your practices
- When complete - present your 108 card to the front desk and we will celebrate your dedication with a post on social media, a very special gift from Team Indigo to you, as well as your picture on our 108 community wall
This is a rolling program, so you can start anytime!
All classes taken from January 1, 2021 may be included.
Educate. Discover. Understand.
In these 90-minute workshops, students are offered a deeper look into a variety of topics ranging from asana (the physical practice) to the philosophical side of yoga, and much more.
