By using our website, signing up for a class, or visiting our studio, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
When you sign up online or in studio, we collect:
- Contact information. Name, email, phone, date of birth, mailing address.
- Payment information. Card details handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Health and emergency info. Optional injury or medical disclosures, emergency contact. Used only to keep you safe in class.
- Class history. What you book, what you attend, what you cancel. Helps us serve you better.
- How you found us. Marketing source (Google, Instagram, referral, etc.) so we can spend our marketing dollars wisely.
- Device info. IP address, browser, device type. Standard web logs.
How we use it
- Run your account, schedule, and rewards.
- Send class reminders, schedule changes, and account notices.
- Send studio news, offers, and newsletters (only if you opt in).
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Improve our website, classes, and programs.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in, we send class reminders, schedule updates, and occasional offers via text. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELPfor assistance. We don’t share your phone number with outside marketers.
Photos and video
By signing our liability waiver, you grant Indigo Yoga permission to use your likeness in photos and videos for our website, social media, and promotional materials. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, let your teacher or the front desk know — we’ll respect that.
Who we share with
We do not sell your personal information. Period.
We share information only with vendors that help us run the studio:
- Mindbody — class scheduling, account management, attendance tracking.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Perkville — rewards program.
- Email and SMS providers— sending you communications you’ve opted into.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads— measuring website traffic and ad performance. You can opt out of Google’s personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
Each of these vendors is contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us.
We may also share information when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect against fraud or harm.
Your rights
You can:
- See what data we have on you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Unsubscribe from emails (link in every email).
- Stop SMS messages (reply STOP).
- Opt out of marketing analytics.
Texas residents: Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), you have additional rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your data. California residents have similar rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We’ll verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Children
Our minor programs require a signed waiver from a parent or guardian. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 without guardian consent. If you believe we have data we shouldn’t, contact us and we’ll delete it.
How long we keep your data
- Active members:as long as you’re a member plus 7 years for legal and tax compliance.
- Past members: 7 years after your last interaction.
- Marketing list (email/SMS): until you unsubscribe.
- Health/injury info: until you ask us to remove it.
Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encrypted transmission (HTTPS), encrypted storage, access controls, and vetted vendors. No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we’ll notify you per applicable law.
Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Essential. Logging in, completing purchases.
- Analytics. Understanding what pages people visit (Google Analytics).
- Marketing. Measuring ad performance (Google Ads conversion tracking).
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work without them.
