QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR FIRST CLASS

What should I bring to class?
For in-studio, bring everything you need for practice! A skid-less yoga mat, sweat towel, and water bottle are a must. We highly encourage you to bring a yoga block, as well. You may also choose to bring a mat towel and/or strap. Refillable water stations are in several locations in our studios.
We offer complimentary sweat towels, blocks and straps. Mats and yogitoes are available to rent.
For your virtual practice, a mat and a block may be all you need.

What can I buy?
In-studio, we have mats, mat towels, blocks, and straps for purchase, as well as other retail such as books and apparel.

How do I prepare for class?
Having something small and fueling before class, such as a piece of fruit or a smoothie, can be helpful. You want to avoid large, heavy meals for at least one hour before class. Hydration takes 24 hours, so drink plenty of water before, during and after class, especially if practicing in-studio.

Are all in-studio classes heated?
Yes, our classes are heated between 93-96 degrees. We do keep a "cool zone" with fans on low throughout practice.
If you prefer to not practice in heat, please join us virtually!

Do I need to be flexible to go to yoga?
Not at all! You may even find the in-studio heat to be helpful in accessing your flexibility.

What if I am late to class or need to leave early?
No worries! We understand that life happens, and we allow students to join in-studio classes after the class has started. All we ask is that you enter and exit the practice space mindfully.
If you are preregistered for a class that is sold out, we can hold your reservation until five minutes after class begins. For virtual classes, you may join at any time.

Do you have showers?
We do! Our showers are available from the time we open until the start of the last class of the day. Please bring your own bath towel.

What classes should I do if I'm pregnant?
Though all of our classes can be suitable for women during any stage of their pregnancy, we suggest you consult your doctor for any exceptions, including pace, heat, etc.
Contact us at info@indigoyoga.net with questions.

What classes should I do if I'm working on an injury and/or limitation?
Our instructors can advise you on adapting your practice to fit your needs within any class. You may also find some of our specialty classes, such as Slow Flow or Foundations to be a good fit.

Can my kids join me in class?
Of course! 4-17yrs old can join their parent/guardian for an in-studio class for $30.
We also have two Youth Yoga memberships
Independent Youth $70/month: unlimited yoga for ages 16-17
Youth $40/month: Unlimited yoga for ages 4-15 (parent/guardian must be a member and must accompany kids aged 4-15).

From crisis respite units to detox facilities, community centers to outpatient clinics, we strive to offer classes in as many places within our community as possible. ✨

Additionally, we offer one year scholarships for those who have completed treatment programs through #MHMR. If you are interested in applying, please come by the studio for more information and to try a class!
