OVER 500 CLASSES TAUGHT

A recently-retired middle and high school history teacher, Margaret is focusing her talents now in two areas: her Indigo students and the veteran community. An Army veteran herself, she has taught homeless veterans and is currently involved at Dallas Community College where she teaches yoga to student vets. She holds certificates in trauma-informed yoga from several programs including Mindful Yoga Therapy, Unbreakable (a Baptiste program), Veterans Yoga Project and Warriors at Ease. She also volunteers with Warrior Spirit Project which offers free in-person and on-line classes to all active-duty military, veterans and first responders in the DFW area.

A former 12-year competitive swimmer who has just started learning pickleball, Margaret has always been active physically. Margaret’s other major interest is her four grandchildren who live in Midland. She also likes attending TCU football and basketball games as well as hanging out with her two cats, Barnaby and Shanti (previously of Indigo fame!).

Though hip replacement surgery in 2019 and shoulder surgery in 2021 slowed her down a bit, she thinks one is never too old to “dream a new dream or set a new goal”.
